Basil Pesto Sauce

Based on the Villa family recipe, Villa’s Authentic Basil Pesto Sauce is a classic pesto made with fresh French basil, pine nuts, virgin olive oil and a little butter.

"Some people say butter doesn't belong in pesto," Villa says, "but it gives it a lovely, creamy texture."

This pesto sauce can be purchased with or without pine nuts.

Ingredients
Fresh basil, margarine (contains soya), canola oil, parmesan cheese (made from: milk solids, bacterial culture, rennet and/or microbial enzyme, salt, calcium chloride, lipase, powdered cellulose, parmesan falvour [natural], natamycin, [preservative]), romano cheese (milk, bacterial culture, salt, rennet, calcium chloride, lipase), garlic puree (dehydrated garlic, water, citric acid), olive oil, pine nuts, potassium sorbate.
